Felice and Therese (now you know how to pronounce Felice) grew up 3 months apart in age.  They were naturally drawn together at family functions, always stealing the bread rolls from the dinner table (maybe they still do this), running off in giggle fits, and encouraging each other throughout all aspects of their lives.  They share a love of books, though Therese’s nose is usually buried in some fiction and Felice prefers non-fiction…and they both have read hundreds of children’s books with their kids.  Therese loves cooking and Felice loves baking (well, mostly she loves sweets and will bake so she can have some around).  Therese is a homebody and Felice likes to get out a bit more.  Opposites?  Not even.  Complimentary.  They look forward to introducing you to products they’ve tried themselves, with their children and families, sharing recipes that work (or fail–in which case the post will be just to steer you clear and poke fun of the maladies), keeping you in the loop of some amazing Chicago-based products, companies, places and offerings, and RE-view things:  taking a look at it again.  Maybe through the eyes of a 3-or-8-year-old. Or as a mom who really appreciates the healthy shortcuts or a new helpful product for beauty or the home. Or perhaps as a 30-something female who is doing or trying something again for the first time in over a decade.  Have an idea?  Wanna contact us?  chicagocousinsreview@gmail.com

Clark08-001Hi. I’m Felice, mom to a feisty and adventurous 3 year old boy and wife to a husband whose boss, Uncle Sam, likes to take him away for long periods of time.  I’m fortunate to be able to work from home with a job that has me helping authors and discovering new books every day.  I currently live in the Chicago area, my hometown, but will be headed back to Sweet Home Alabama in the next few months, as that’s where the Army currently has us stationed.  I’m a pop culture junkie and LOVE to gossip about celebrities and anything to do with entertainment.  I am also your typical social media addict and spend entirely too much time on Facebook, but really, who doesn’t?  I enjoy trying new products nearly as much as I enjoy social media, especially products for my toddler, and figured what better place to share my finds than here on Chicago Cousins Review?  I look forward to interacting with our fans and followers!

My name is Therese and I’m mother to an 8-year-old (going on 30) who is the cream in my (much-needed) coffee.  She cannot digest gluten, so I learned to adapt favorite recipes into those she can enjoy without side effects (and I have learned to streamline those to save time).  We have also tried and tested nearly every gluten-free brand and product that exists, so we know what we love (and don’t) and can provide insight into that for you.  Chicago is near and dear to us, so we support and enjoy the benefits of small and local businesses that work twice as hard for half the profit.  We are book worms (and word nerds), participate and love anything to do with animals and their well being (we have 5 pets of our own and volunteer for rescue groups), and are a very sarcastic and laid back family.
